Will try to post more pics of the Start, but here is the build so far. Let me know what you think, and lets see pictures of yours.
Some Specs on the truck : Rear End : Ford 9" with 3:72 gears Engine : Bored SB350, Double hump heads, Mutha Thumpr cam, Dual 2-brl carbs and 63 corvette valve covers Transmission : 2-speed PowerGlide w/Lokar shifter Front Suspension : Mustang II w/Disc Brakes
you stated mustang II front end but it has a straight axle crossmember and 4 bars in picture, which is probably more preferable, but make sure you know what you have incase you have to do maintenience .on front end Tom P.S. cool truck
Tough call, I typically like the original weathered look (I try not to use the over used "patina" word), but this one is a bit more than that. If you leave it as is, I guarantee it will gather more attention at a show then the sea of restored, nicely painted cars though.
I stand corrected. I used a kit that allowed me to use the spindle and rotor set up from a mustang II, didn't realize I had posted it as a complete mustang II . I messed up
Great hot rod. Shit and Git! Looks like you have 32 front fenders since it’s not meeting your rear fender. Correct? Love the engine. But not so much the filters. Really cool truck. What is that sitting on the left in the first picture???
I too, like the weathered look, people will beat a path around shiny painted ones to get to yours. Glad, no mustang II. Sbc engine looks great, not sure on the carbs. Then,it is not mine(I wish) Enjoy!!!!!
No. they are 34 front fenders. I bought a passenger side rear fender at a auction and didn't realize someone had cut it shorter. I have to combine 2 fenders that I have because the bottom of the one I have where it bolts to the running board is really nice but the rest is really messed up. so I will split those 2 fenders and make 1 nice fender. more pictures to come . I am currently working on that right now. -And so everyone knows here is a pic of the whole shop. Here is a list of what is in the shop: (2) 1934 ford Pickups (1) 1957 Chevy (1) 1962 Chevy Pickup (1) 1932 Diamond T Tour Bus - ( originally a Pikes Peak Cog Railway Tour Bus )
I guess it rubbed off on me by my dad. Everything in that photo except the Grey(ish) 34 is my dads. I have that 34 and a 51 Chevy, a 55 ford crown Victoria and a 56 gmc pickup. so yea I believe I am cursed as well.
Nice project! I am a sucker for a 32-34 Ford Pickup. I have a 33 currently myself. Love the air cleaners on carbs, have those on the tri-power set up in our 55 Chevy.
Cool truck, I miss my ‘32 ford pu it was a lot of fun. I’m glad you didn’t put a mustang II IFS in yours! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
