I like the headllites under the front fenders to keep it a legal gasser.

The original pop-up headlites were ugly and un-aerodynamic. Most racers addressed this, like us, and the preceding three cars.

Needs headlights to be NHRA legal. Hence, the reference to the name on the side of the car.

Anyone notice anything "odd" about the rear tires (wheels) ?

Yes, the Stickel and Riffle car although it may have been Thompson and Riffle by then

And while we are on the subject of Anglias here are a few more. Some of these may have been posted before but it would have been a ways back as I checked the past five pages. Some of the Auto Imagery shots are from the post HAMB time frame but the cars are period correct and I have not posted any of Richard's photos of cars with Centerline, etc wheels even though there are quite a few on this thread with them

Gawd, On so many levels that car looks scary to me. And with a 9.78 dial, I can only hope that's 1/8 mile racin'.

    I think it's cool..!

Front tires are "almost" as large as the slicks, so much positive camber that the insides of the front tires are off the ground, one more than the other, the lower rear bars appear...to be bent, chrome reversed front wheels(?).
It IS...all steel, so that is a plus...sorta.

The car above (532) is nice. Another all steel body. Rear wheels nicely tucked in. Though the "cool" car has it's driving lights/turn indicators in place, where this car, the driving lights location appear to be filled in.
