I'm sorry if this is a repost , I stumbled back across the story of this car while flipping through the magazine and noticed something in one of the pictures that I overlooked before, that is the tow bar that is mounted on the car, I realize back in the day alot of race cars did get flat towed to and from the tracks , but to the salt flats? Or was it just used to get the car back to the pit area after a run? Just curious. 20190417_000606(0).jpeg 20190417_000633.jpeg

Rudestude, Thanks for posting the article on the 66 Corvette at Bonneville.
196 MPH is very fast for a midyear Corvette with very poor aerodynamics.
I am sure that the short wheelbase and the aero contributed to the spinout.
    Great article.

I appreciate that , I run across article's like that occasionally while flipping through my old magazines and find them interesting, but I'm not really sure some times if it's ok to post them in what ever the thread subject might be , I know the threads are normally picture threads but some of these articles are not on line , were everyone goes for information nowadays, and most guys probably don't always have a large collection of the old magazines like I do ,so I didn't think it would hurt to throw a article in the mix occasionally, if it's a short one , I don't want to take up to much space on some one else's thread. If it's good but several pages I will PM them to anyone that requests them.
    Thanks. Terry (aka Rudestude)

LB that is a really nice 58-60 Vette. It even has traction masters which with those wheels it makes me think the owner has fun with the car.

Hmm, what ever happened to the '65 that was featured in the tv series
"Stingray" with Nick Mancuso as the main character? I think the show
    ran for two seasons.

That's my 'Armadillo' top. 3/8" steel rod/nylon block frame, with ABS panels attached by clamps/screws. Was originally going to be able to take it apart for stashing behind the seat. Now it's removable in one piece.

While the NCRS guys might thumb their nose at you you get an attaboy here on the HAMB. Looks like you made quite a few other pieces too.
