REAL NICE shots of the skairlane. In the first one your eyes pick out the scoop, most of the time you don't really even notice it in photos.

Not sure if looks better with the wheels up or the hood up.
    Awesome car!

  7. Thanks guys the scoop was an idea I had and almost didn't put it on because no one liked it when I set it on the hood but I did it anyways and now everyone likes it. I'm glad I went through with my Idea now. Next year it will be sporting stack injection under the hood can't wait to get it out in the spring.

My buddy bought this 57 in 1986 for 3 grand. 390 4-speed 411 posi. We shot it into primer and took it to a rod run campout the same year and because my buddy hadn't mastered driving a stick, we took turns driving it around the fairgrounds all weekend. Among many high buck cars, this ride stole the show and we had a blast with it. I still miss it. 807.jpg

  19. Hey Guys, have any of you ever seen THIS '56 Sunliner before, or have any info on it ? This may be a fairly recent photo, but I have no other, and cannot tell you much more about it. TIA.. 56 rag top dragger.jpg

Is there a way to purchase a copy of the photo of the 56 Ford El Torro posted by Eightydeuce? I lettered this car back when I was a teenager, and in fact, spelled Torro wrong. This photo was taken at McCormick Place in Chicago, and I don't have this photo. If anyone can help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

Gary Coe, Portland Oregon, the "Gunfighter", If I recall, the name was on all his future race cars.

He has a “new” 57 Ford Gunfighter. It runs Top Sportsman and sports Coyote power. Runs deeper 7’s I believe, it’s a beautiful car. I’d post a pic but the management may not like it.

A little story from a number of years ago.......
I knew Gary lived on my side of town, but didn't know where exactly, at that time I had been away from drag racing for quite a while.
I was out running an errand and in the distance I see a group of people on an overpass, I get closer and I see Gary and group waving signs saying Gary Coe for ? some kind of political position, having read of his towing company shinannigans that did not surprise me.
