OK...Here it is with both black and chrome grill. I hope @Jamoke doesn't mind me posting this stuff on his thread.
I can't make out the interior color..tan/brown? Matching color interior/wheels look good on open cars. Your choice for taller rear tires, and smaller headlights is spot on. Nice car.
Also add a polished stainless or chrome spreader bar to the front end - why have frame horns and not use them?? Will help unify the front if the insert color gets changed.
I'd do the head lights and taller rear tires first ,sure you may have to mount/dismount the tires an extra time if you still repaint but it would give you a new base line look to the car and you may just leave the rest alone?. The taller rear tire will change everything.
Decided the wire wheels we're not the look I was going for started and removed about 200 pounds of junk besides the wheels waiting for new wheels and tires ordered the headlights had to come off I couldn't look at them any what's really funny it's so much fun standing back see what you don't like taking her off knowing you don't have to replace it save lots of money that way LOL
Torq Thrust D's the grey with big and Little's to me you just can't get any more hot rod than those Wheels I've used those wheels on 10 cars I think I am more of a 60s hot rods
My vote would be stainless grill with the wheels sort a mocha brown (the color on Jake Jacobs panel). Agree on the smaller lights and taller tires already stated. Nice car by the way!
Torque thrusts are choice. My color vote on the wires and insert was gonna be eggplant purple Sent from my LGLS992 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I agree with you totality I put them on about 5 hot rods I've owned that's why i bought them again for this hot rod Thanks
Now you have to paint the rotor hubs and rear brake drums black, or they will really look funky with the torque thrush wheels. What are you going to do with the grill? Gene
These threads are always interesting. I have always liked bent spoke Kelsey's cream yellow. I have no idea why I just do. Obviously that is just my own personal taste for that particular wheel and probably if I owned a set they would just end up whatever color they end up but in a perfect world they would be cream yellow. Oh wait a minute, those are not bent spoke Kelsey's. Doesn't change my opinion though. LOL
Thank you all for your input and all of the color options but I have decided not to use the wheels just not Hot Rod enough for me going with Torque Thrust D as I have on my last 2 cars I really have never been a Wire Wheel guy always go with your gut
