I had problems finding fender wells to fit my '40 with a 426 Dodge. None of the production headers fit right. Motors in Chrysler cars are set an inch or so to the right. One side too short, one too long. I was going to try my hand at building a some. But I came across a set of up-sweep dragster headers. Brought them home and turned them up-side down. With out too much work they fit really well.

  3. These are the Speedway tri-fives and I totally agree about the high price of the small blocks, because that's what I want to use in my 57 p/u. I see they are 1 3/4 tube vs the 1 5/8 on the fat fender fenderwell they sell, but that's a heck of a price jump between the two. 20170727_163032.jpg 20170727_161327.jpg

Another fenderwell header you can look at are the Hedman Hustler headers designed to fit Chevy S10s with v8 swaps, nice compact fenderwell header worked out really well on my Lark, just had to modify #7 tube for steering box clearance.

Who bought the Stahl stuff? He made fenderwells for tri 5s in most any diameter/length you could dream up. I know there were some as small as 1 1/2".

My first set were used from a guy named Rich Maskin. The brand was Mr. J's. Was that another name for Jardine?

    P.S.
    Stahl's were NOT Cheap!
