I need a water pump for a 351 Windsor that has the intake on the passenger side. Wondering if anybody knows of one? Thanks in advance. Bones
Here ya go.... https://www.cjponyparts.com/cardone...h-backing-plate-289-302-351-1965-1969/p/WP47/ This one is cast iron, I'm sure there's an aluminum version available if you look a bit. Edelbrock makes one, but they're really proud of it... There's also the '62-65 style that's factory aluminum, but you need the matching timing cover and later accessory drives don't fit it.
One thing I should have noted; up to '69, Ford used the three bolt lower pulley, then switched to the four bolt in '70 (which is when the passenger-side inlet disappeared for good). This is where guys get into trouble with the 'why don't the damn pulleys line up?' issue. It can be done, but can take some time to get the right combo...
3 bolt and 4 bolt dampers were made so the timing marks match the location of the pointer, which is opposite side from the pump inlet. 3 bolt for passenger inlet, 4 bolt for driver inlet. Also, the Bronco used the passenger inlet pump through '77, as the steering box interfered with a driver side radiator connection.
I use Pro Products balancers because they have 3 and 4 bolt patterns on every balancer. Also walked into a local parts store and asked for a '69 Galaxie pump and they had one in stock. Lets you use Chevy radiators! SPark
Corvair??? Not real sure what exact race car, but a circle track car. A friend gave them to us to start the engine, we have another set for our B-mod circle track car. Bones
