Where can I find replacement leaf spring hangers/shackles like this?
It’s a 1936 Chevy pickup. They thread into the leaf spring.

Have you checked "The Filling Station"? Also VCCA chat.

I ordered mine from Amazon. AC Delco # 45g15386 $6.78 for two new bushings and AC Delco 45g16050 $6.11 for two threaded pins.

  6. The threaded piece is a taper fit into the shackle piece. It will come out, just press it off. The side pieces are probably fine for reuse, you just need to threaded pins. As suggested by previous replies, look to the vendors. You should get both new threaded pins and the threaded bushings they go into which fit into the leaf spring eyes with light press fit.

PM me, I have one pair of the shackle side pieces, used good shape, you can have for cost of shipping. I had one bad side on my old 38 Chevy, and had to buy a pair. So replaced both sides and the leftover good used ones were extra. Yours for the cost of shipping. No threaded pins or bushings, but I have the shackle sides, free.

I'll just add that there is no need to pay exorbinent "rare parts" prices as the pieces aren't rare and shouln't be expensive. There is a before and after on some Chevy leaf spring I beam suspenson pieces and I'm thinking that comes around 1940. Lately I have figured out on Chevy parts you check The Filling Station to see if the part even exists and then start looking for a price that might beat theirs but they are pretty competitive.

  8. The NOS kits often up on Egay, they have the new cork spacers, etc.
