Technical 28 - 48 Hub Gasket Assembly

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by blackjack, Mar 19, 2019.

  1. These small leather gaskets came with the roundback hubs and F1 brakes I bought from a stalled project. They are too small to go over the stub axle, so I presume they need to be soaked in oil? Where do they go in the bearing assembly? IMG_20190319_195010279.jpeg

  2. Didn't check the #; but they look like the gasket that goes under the axle nut on a banjo axle

Didn't get the full number, there's just the root # in the catalog drawing, but almost certainly B-1183 and '28-48.
