LB I wonder if that is an AHRA class. They had some different classes as I seem to remember. I seem to remember one day where they appeared to make up a class for a buddy racing his 61 Vette. It was a class he never ran in before and they told him if he won that class he could race the others in an eliminator format-he did not argue but we wondered at the time. I have a 66 AHRA rule book and found an XC class but that is a 396 engine I believe. I assume with the pie crusts this may precede 66 but I do not have a rulebook to see if it is a AHRA class. It appears the car behind it is another CX Vette of the same vintage. Anyone with a 62 or 63 or 64ish AHRA rulebook?

Doug Marion with the vette he drove to a little eliminator win. He had a short story about this in his editorial in one of the hot rod type magazines some years ago. I think I might have the one it's in. I want to say that it was owned by a friends dad.

I think I remember reading that it was owned by his father.

I can't tell you anything about this car but Frank Kemp later owned a Vega B/Fuel funny car that was driven by George Ramos as late as the Last Drag Race at Lions where this photo was taken.

Nothing on Carl Parsons either but this shot is obviously from Indy and with the Ault and James backing the car is most likely from Ohio

Anybody see the show "Sticker Shock" yesterday? It's a show where people bring in cars to get an estimated price they can get for their cars.

I just caught a glimpse of a car that looked to be either the original or clone of the Vette Super Sport prototype that has been posted in here.

Unfortunately ( or fortunately :)) one of my lady friends arrived and didn't get to see if it was the real one or not.

The other Barris Corvette that's posted brought this "Shark" front end for the 58-62 Corvette ad to mind...from a old Kellison catalog of mine...and check out the price list.... 20190310_011151.jpeg 20190310_011210.jpeg

Is there a date on the catalogue to give some perspective to the prices?

$700 for a whole '63 body. I didn't remember there was a complete body available back in the day.

You know I have looked this over..it is in bad shape.....and I have not been able to find a date ...but going by the dates on the parts available my guess would be 1966/67 ...they offer what appears to be a 1967 Camaro body and 1966/67 Mustang parts....some examples... 20190310_185445.jpeg 20190310_185530.jpeg 20190310_185554.jpeg 20190310_185617.jpeg

Here are a couple from my mate Richard Shute of Auto Imagery. They were actually taken a little after the HAMB cut off date but I picked out the cars with period correct wheels etc. The rest all had Cragar Super Tricks
