Hot Rods Jr stock question ?

    can someone tell me when ,I suppose E.T.break ,that a roll bar was required in the Jr Stock classes. Thanks

    NO roll bars/roll gages were ever required in Junior Stock; they just were't fast enough (and they would have added WEIGHT). Here's the way "Stock" was originally set up: Top Stock A/S -F/S; Junior Stock G/S-N/S, Little Stock O/S-W/S. Those categories DID CHANGE over the years. A Junior Stocker probably never went quicker than a 12.50 E.T.
    Now, in Bracket Racing today, 11.50 is the cutoff for having a roll bar; 11.49 requires a roll bar, 11.50 does't. A few years ago, 11.99 was the cutoff; no Junior Stocker ever went that quick.
