I bought a Chassis Research dragster chassis out of a guys backyard in the early 60's. I built and ran it in AHRA's B/XGD class with a SBC Chevy. I have always said it was a TE-440 but was never for sure on my ID. Can anybody on here ID it for sure? Thanks!
its a 440 style cage with xtra roll bar added. not a hundred percent that its a chassis research car. there were many copies made back then and also scotty fenn would sell just just the rear bars that guys would put on there home made frames. ivo did that , and also karamasines.
also looks like a homemade front axel. mickey you and I have talked before but its been along time. this the car that was stolen?
From what I understand Scotty Finn would build something for you if he liked your idea if he didn’t your ass was out the door, he sold kits,or kit parts.so your car could have been a mix of stuff, but it looked good!
Yes you're right...it was stolen after I got drafted for the Vietnam fun. The guy I bought it from said it was a Crosley front axle and spindles. Crosley hubs did fit when I tried them.
