4.7 inches deep, adds 2 quarts total. Made of cast aluminum I believe. I installed in my car but saw it was going to sit too low so I removed it. No fluid ever installed and never run. Included mounting bolts off my original pan, (I liked the Allen head that came with it), and rubberized gasket. The added 2 inches or so was too low for my already lowered Cutlass.
