1949 Ford F-1

Good morning HAMB, my name is Marty Merkt, and recently I purchased a 1949 Ford F-1, completely restored. I was wondering how to turn on the defroster in it? It has holes in the dashboard directed at the windshield, but I am unsure of how the knobs work, Thanks in advance, Marty
