Projects 1939 Ford with Stroked Lincoln 430 start up with exhaust

Idled down pretty good for 6 carburetors.

430 MEL ...cool. Kinda close to my heart. Had a 430 with an Edelbrock 6x2 that I wanted to use in my '29 roadster, but ended up selling everything.

Curious if that could be my old intake. There aren't very many around. Is it an Edelbrock? Did you buy it in the last, say, 3 years? Did it come with the carbs? Did it come with the original spring-clamps for the rubber cross-hoses? And did you notice anything mucked up about the front passenger side threaded hole for the water?

Regardless, I love that you went down a path less-traveled, using the 430...especially with the 6 carbs. Have fun!

 

Intake looks like an Edlebrock but there are no castings on it, its a weird deal, not sure if it was polished away or if its even more rare.

 

430 Lincoln... one of my bucket list engines, nicely set up considering the 6 carb dealie.

 

I have this NOS Weiand Drag Star and a 383 to put it on. Great engines !
