    Hey everyone.

I just recently built a 283 SBC which is running a quadrajet and a melling MTC-1 cam. I was told by a friend that this cam doesn’t gain any benefit from having a vacuum advance setup on it.
I thought that strange. I figured that cars typically idle better, run cooler and more efficiently with a vacuum advance. This cam’s maxim torque range is low - from idle to 4000rpm. What is the general consensus here?

    Cheers in advance, Hambers!

Good! I haven’t found any info to back up not running vacuum advance on this block. It sounded like strange advice to me. Glad to know I’m not alone!
