I have been reading the posts on Rambler sites and they describe the torque tube as having 4 bolts holding it onto the tailshaft housing on my transmission. In my case, there looks to be only 2 bolts. Is this correct or is there another point of attachment? 004.JPG 004.JPG

Thanks. Your reply snapped me back into reality. It's a 1959 Rambler.

I had one of those apart, several times, 40 years ago. Long enough ago to not remember how many bolts. And then I gave away the manual when I sold (er gave away) the car. I would have kept it if I knew that you needed it, 40 years later.
Not much help I know but thanks for the memories.

My 62 Classic SW has 4 bolts. Your 59 has 2. Remove them.
