Ok, this is a real stupid, yet simple question and one i've searched the net on for much too long now..with not a single pic found.
Can one of you guys with hood sides on your deuce please post a pic of how the hell the hood corner rubber is correctly installed please?
The little rubber triangle that go's on the lower rear corner..

I can build a damn car from junk but can't figure out a little piece of rubber!

    Thanks in advance.

  4. The hood corner goes between the rivet head and the side of the rubber with the hole in it. That way, the side of the rubber without the hole in it covers up the rivet head. Not a stupid question at all....they are tricky little buggers to figure out.

I've got a good idea how they attach, just can't figure out how they go on the hood.
Does the bumper part of the rubber go between the cowl and hood, or hood and frame?
Sorry to be confusing if i am. That's why I asked for a pic.

Thanks for the help and your time. I really appreciate it.

  6. I take it, no one posted, or sent you a picture on how the hood corner rubbers are installed? I too, would like to see a installation picture.
Also, where do the little "round" bumpers go that is included in the '32 Hood Bumper kit?

    Thanks

  7. The bumper goes on the inside to the rear.
I also use a little contact cement to hold it securely.

  8. The Ford Barn may be a better place to get a picture of them.

The little round ones are hood stops. Mount to a little bracket that supports the center of the hood at the bottom. Note hole in the frame by center of hood. Bracket goes there.

I used a small stainless button head screw and nut to hold it in place. HRP

Couldn’t you just silicone them on ?

  16. On my old coupe, the round bumpers were attached to a small L shaped metal piece that mounted to the fender about midway of the hood. I don't have a photo of them since they were left off when a previous owner built the car.

  17. No reason why you couldn't but they come pre drilled with a hole that matches the one already in the corner of the hood. HRP

  18. These are aftermarket brackets like Don was referring too, they are center rest brackets and bolt to the frame, the round rubber bumpers are attached to cushion the inside lower edge of the hood. HRP

The original ones were painted black.
