Have you ever gone looking for something in your shop/barn/storage and found the unexpected?
The other day my little coffee maker died and I was sure I had a spare - somewhere. Low and behold in a box stashed deep in our darkest, nastiest shed I found a box of cool old car parts I had virtually forgotten about! I haven't seen this stuff since I moved out of L.A. nine years ago. Now I wonder what other treasures I stashed and lost. There was also some Hot Wheels and a 375 hp 327 model engine and old spark plug and points boxes.
Who else has found a long lost part while foraging for something else?

Usually my stuff starts to reappear after I have replaced it, twice. When I have replaced it for the third time things start disappearing again, so there is a certain sweet spot I have to be careful of.

^^^ I just re-purchased all my micrometers that were "misplaced" in the move so my original ones should be popping up any day now!

I have the rafters and overhead storage cabinets full of packed away goodies from years back. Still have parts and pieces on the other side of the country. When I go searching for something , Xmas comes sometimes as early as June or later in March. I love a good surprise.

This applies double when you are into both hot rods and boats

Great video. We've got big properties out here where I live with old buildings and barns and I can't help wondering what treasures are just sitting and rotting in them.
