I showed the beginnings of this one on page one. Here it is nearly completed after a long long time in the making.

Wow! A Dorset down under. Purty rare there.

I don't know if it has been posted but there is an A40 pickup around these parts with a nice rake mounted on a TR6 chassis. Cool truck.

Since this old thread popped back up I might as well add mine to the "registry".
One pic when I first got it and the other after some careful sanding. It's licensed and running but needs some more attention before taking it too far from home. If all goes well, I'll have it at the Eagle Field event in May IMG_0091.JPG IMG_0232.JPG .

Only just picked up on this thread. Here is my Dorset over in the UK. One of the few that didn't get exported in 48. Scratch built chassis with Jag Mk2 rear end, Vauxhall Viva independent front with rack and pinion. Engine is an aluminium Rover V8 (early 60's Buick to you guys!) with 5 speed stick. Finished off with a nice chop. Not built by me I hasten to add. Thanks go to Dave Rose for the rolling chassis, and Tony Puttick for putting the rest together.

Here's an A40 Devon I converted to 2 door using original Dorset panels that had been hanging in a shed since the late seventies, sold it a while back unfinished......big mistake!

Thanks, It was pretty straight forward using original panels to carry out the swap from 4 to 2dr with a few subtle differences.
The Austin was rust free and solid a as rock when I took the B post out (note no bracing) just did one side at a time.

Oh and I have just bought another A40 which I am going to the same but this will be harder as it will involve more fabrication.

Here's one I built mid nineties in the UK, I had to sell it to come to Australia.
Got to a point of final assembly after painting sold it to a mate who finished it and drove to Europe in it.
Still around I believe, not really HAMB friendly sorry. 2014-03-31 18.03.00.png

This is my buddy's A40 here in town. He runs a 440 with a Torqueflite.
