A couple of years ago there were rumors about Tom Cruise playing the part of Carroll Shelby in a movie about the Ford and Ferrari battle at Le Mans in the 1960s. According to this article the role of Carroll Shelby will now be played by Matt Damon, and Christian Bale will be playing Ken Miles. https://www.autoclassics.com/posts/news/ferrari-vs-ford-film-2018
If it was Tom Cruise I would skip it, Shelby was a man's man and Cruise? I'll be nice and just say he is not. Damon sounds like a better pick. We need a new car guy flick.
When I first look at that pic, I thought it was Shelby. Lol! Never heard of Carrola. Will be watching for him. Bones
I wouldn't see anything with the morons called Cruise or Damon. Now, Adam Carrola would probably make a great Shelby for the movie. Sent from my SM-G930T using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Henry Ford II, "The Deuce", pulled out all the stops to win in the 1966 Le Mans race. Eight Ford sponsored GT40-MkII cars and five privately owned MkI cars were entered. Of the Ford cars, three were from Shelby, three were from N.A.S.C.A.R.s Holman-Moodey shop and two from Alan Mann Racing, so he wasn't taking any chances. It was rumored that Ford spent over $65 million for the win and said he would have spent anything to beat Ferrari. Tom Cruise playing Carroll Shelby, thankfully someone came to their senses.
