might be a basic question to most but what is the widest tyre you can fit to a36 Ford wide five rim? Or would you change to a smaller pcd ,if so how?

  2. If you go to the Coker site, I think they guide you on what rim the tire will fit.....IIRC, the width of the rim should be the tread width or close to it.....

  4. Well, how wide are the wide 5 wheels? I have 750-16s on the 5.5" ford wheels on the back of my 30 sedan, those wheels are 4.5" wide. I think the wide 5 wheels are only 4" wide, is that right?

Most stock 16" wide 5's are 4" wide. The 36 std were 3.5" as were the cars with the V8 60 from '37-39.I have had 15" wide 5's that were 5" wide. Those had 4 scallops on the center section and I think were used on Buses and dump trucks.

I've also had Stateside wide 5's that were 5" wide. My pal 'researched', and said they came on Commercial vehicles. (pickups and panel trucks that used 7.00 X 16" tires)
