I'm late to the party too. Great find Mike! Really like the low stance on this little gem. Can't wait to check it out.

Holy moly Mike, I missed this too. That’s a really cool car and it’s nice to see it loved like it is. That’s a really killer score.

How’s the Tudor coming along? On hold enjoying the new ride?

Well I’m not that far and my Tudor is on the road now so maybe next year we can hook up at say the mill town show.

Love to make the rounds and meet up with you and other North East Hambers.

The Tudor is patiently waiting its turn.
Planning on getting some new shelving built in the storage container this weekend and get the coupe in there pretty soon so I can get to work on the sedan.
Not much room in the shop with two cars.

I'm going to have a midwinter party and try to get people to come from all over NE. not sure how to entice them. Maybe seeing your car would be enough.

I like the idea too. If it’s a decent day, ie no show and dry roads I would drive my hot rod.

It’s about 100 miles from my place to the south shore area.

  18. Those proportions on your car are perfect!!! Those marker light tail lights came on '71-'72 Chevy pick-ups but are back fitted a lot like on my off topic '68 pick-up which came with solid side markers - you should charge 'seating admission' for your car @ the shows!

Come on Mark, how to entice gearheads to a party? Cold beer, Slim Jim’s and taco chips ( maybe some pickled pigs feet?)

My apologies for taking so long to reply.
I've been meaning to get in the storage container to take pics of the tires.

As I had mentioned the tires are 9.00-15 Bias Ply
    They're Prowler Eliminator tires.
The tires were designed for muscle cars in the 70's
    They're Redline tires.

The "White walls" are actually Porta-Walls straight out of the JC Whitney catalog.

Unfortunately they're pretty cracked. They would make someone a great display piece, that's about it.

I’d hang on to those if I were you- red line re cap slicks with porta walls are part of the provenance of this car, man. You just can’t buy that shit anymore, ya know? That’s like total 70’s dude!

Thank you. It’s been a while since I’ve been on here.
I’ll post up updates in the next few weeks.
The car has been completely rebuilt from the frame up

Mike the tires aren’t Recap slicks. They’re just old cracked bias ply tires. Good for mock-up or a roller.

It has been over a year since I last posted on this thread ... I almost don't even know where to begin, over on my other thread (29 Tudor project in Mass) I had mentioned on the first day of spring 2019 I had put the sedan on the back burner to "fix" a few things on the coupe.
It immediately spiraled out of control !

I took it out for a drive the first day of spring and noticed I had a broken motor mount bolt on the drivers side mount and an exhaust leak from the collector.

So after an initial check on how it would have to come apart to be fixed, I had to do quite a bit of work.

    So...I dove right in.

    Interior came out
    [IMG]
Fuel tank out, exposes all of the mechanicals in the rear of the car.
Brakes, aux radiator and the corvette rear.
    Bits and pieces
    [IMG]
The following day, the body was hanging from the rafters
    [IMG]
The beginning of a long unexpected journey ...

WOW. Wasn't expecting it to all come apart, but I like your work. I really got to make it a point to see this car in person sometime. I'll have to go hit a show or something more in your area.
