I know I should keep my files individually wrapped in oily cloths in a warm, dry drawer, but somehow they end up stuck in coffee cans. I bet some folks have some good ideas about this. thanks, Dan T
I make wooden sleeves for my laminate files. They are pricey. The rest I line up in my shallow tool box drawer. Not on top of each other.
2 ways: The ones I use the most, I made a bent steel angle to attach to my pegboard hammer holder, put holes and slots in it, to hang the hand files. The bodywork ones, I dedicated a drawer in a cabinet, and cut out the shapes in some old upholstery foam to keep them safe!
I have files that belonged to my granddad & my father and just have them in a drawer in mt tool box that has a old shop rag saturated with oil, they seem to be in great shape. I also dropped a file my dad had and it shattered like a piece of glass. HRP
Anyone else notice how much longer files last compared to using sandpaper? Decades compared to minutes!
