Event Coverage Hershey...day 2

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by chevsotolac, Oct 10, 2018.

  1. The quality of cars for sale at Hershey makes the car corral at Carlisle look like the back row of a 60's used car lot.

Here is how we like to send our customers away. This gentleman loaded a grille, 2 wheels, 5 hub caps, and 2 rear fenders- all on this makeshift rickshaw; and then peddled off. His trip down from Ontario, Canada was a successful buying trip for his Chevy truck project. You see this every year at Hershey. Great stuff. Bring on Friday- Sunny and crisp with a forecast high of 59 degrees!

Thanks to all for posting these great photos. It's almost as good as being there.
This 1910 Cadillac brings back memories as it was part of the Bothwell Collection for decades. I remember it as a kid.
The grey 1911 Bergdoll is also neat and an important part of Philadelphia history...
REAL hot rodding in the USA started BEFORE the FIRST World War.....

Took this last picture of a kind of rare car which was truly a one year only body making a big leap from 1959

Hope if you went to Hershey, you found what you were looking for and close with a photo of me crossing the Tapan Zee bridge on my way home. Safe travels!

Ah, what a difference a day makes. First you see the soggy, rainy Thursday, followed by the crisp, chilly, windy Friday morning. By noon, the big red ball in the sky poked out and it was downright pleasant. We’ll be there Saturday morning, bucking the trend by staying open for Saturday shoppers- and the folks going to the car show and returning to the parking lot. What a way to spend your 28th anniversary- good thing she’s an understanding wife!

Thanks to everyone who shared photos. That's an event that most of us out west can only dream about going to even though we have read about it all our lives.
