So, I'm trying to sort the hinges out on my 35 ford coupe. What a b***h of a job. Puller s, heat, hammer and punches, drills combined with plenty of colourful language got them out ! I've bought some oversize hinges to sort out the slack. Now do I redrill the holes or ream them out?

Reaming will be more accurate, a drill bit can walk on you where a reamer will follow the original hole.

    Agreed.
Reamers cut more accurately. Important when installing new oversized pins.

Absolutely - make or buy oversize pins unless the hinges are a mess. If the hinges NEED to be opened up due to being out of round, use the proper sized reamer. A drill bit does NOT drill a perfectly round hole.

You really don't know how to swear until you've removed the pins from early Ford hinges. And I had military training in swearing!
