Wally Parks was also a notable gentleman who was a early hot rodder & although not a professional racer he was very instrumental in the publication business.

 

Robert Stack was a actor but cut his teeth in a hot rod.

A young actor, Clint Eastwood in his first car a Model T-based flathead-powered lakes modified that his father bought for him for $25. Darren said he doesn’t know much more about the modified than what we see in the photo, but we know that Eastwood took shop classes at Oakland Technical High School and often rebuilt engines (and all he had on his mind then were “fast cars and easy women”), so we have to wonder whether he ever raced it.
