One of the song titles gave me the urge to check this band out on YouTube and I
came across a couple of very good tunes. Nice job on the poster, especially when
it causes someone to dig a little deeper.

After seeing this Friday I happened to run across a small article on an artist in
Skokie, Illinois named Jeff Snider. This quote stood out: "Basically, anything
that can have a hole drilled in it can be used as a lamp". Ron's roadster here is
is a good example of that.

Thank You Dan...Hotrods pretty much generate incredible ambience wherever you stick them but nature and sunlight are big for me and that series I took that day just brought a warm smile to my face...I really feel in good company here with you and the others. Your Bonneville series is stunning as well.

Another of the feeling better drive
    picture shoot...

    The Late August and September
    Skies are very breathtaking.
The Big Ball of Sun is right behind the roof of the Hotrod keeping exposure in check.

Thanks @Stogy. That would be one of my favorite things to do with a hot rod or custom if I owned one - just to take it out for a ride to cool places and photograph it.

Great Capture @Shutter Speed...you may already know but this seeing faces thing has a name...See link below.

First off it's fun to see others that catch these faces in Vintage cars...it was probably part of the inspiration for the movie Cars and so many other Cartoons.

The second thing is your subject matter...the 58 Pontiac. There is one that pops by the local cruise and it's a stunner. I took a couple pics of it one capturing that animated face and another capturing another of many features those designer/artists drafted into it.

First off another of that interesting alien looking face below which I see a trail of star shapes trailing like a stream from its mouth area and the brow area flowing off into the side spear.

Secondly on the side profile is a beautiful Rocket and yes the Rocket Age was well underway when this car was designed and no it's not the Olds Rocket but a theme carried through the GM lines this being Pontiac. Not only is there a Rocket but it's actually flying and the insert area is the plume with the trim spears being the vapour trails. Love it.

Lastly it's always intriguing how if ten people have a camera or a type of art medium you will get ten varied interpretations instead of same and that also guarantees interesting results.

Stogy - Here are some rocket hood ornaments I captured. These are all old shots done before my eyes went bad.
The first one is an Olds I got in a parking lot under neon signs at night.

Beautiful work @JBurt thanks for sharing these. I always think that we are capturing the manufactured/industrialized beauty of an individuals artistic rendering with all kinds of varied reflection and occurring light. From 2D to 3D back to 2D...Love it.

First off @JBurt sorry about your eyes...they are very precious I hope you can still do most of the things you enjoy...and you regain that again...

Since we are talking a bit about faces that appear in composition this beautiful capture has kind of a mighty mouse head with outstretched arms coming at you...it's all in reflection...and a completely random thing. This is not a negative either just an observation...

    Design Influences...

This Ole Rusty was as a 47ish Chevrolet StyleMaster Sedan I captured...That trim had the Shape of a locomotive to me.

So curious I typed in 47 GM Locomotive and low and behold there is a styling link...coincidence...;)...you be the judge...
I just love all the flowing designs of the past...
