Then you need one of these- had one as a kid (wish I still did)!

  5. I built lots of balsa and
Paper kits as a kid and those were pretty difficult. I can't imagine building one from scratch. My hats off to you.

We had that Snoopy kit with the motorized prop! Dad had to put a penny in the battery box to make more positive contact!

I lost track of how many of those '51's I've built and fought that glass to look right. I think the next, if I ever do another, will have that piece cut into separate parts and fitted in from the outside. Back glass as well.

After letting this kit sit for about a month I decided to get to work and finish it. As I was working
on it a few minutes ago the instruction sheet caught my eye and I finally saw the lighter, ashtray
and the cigarette. Yep that was my work area as a nine year old in 1959. Funny that they didn't
include my bottle of Blatz beer, or maybe I hid it before mom came into the room.

Here's my Amt 1932 ford roadster Street rod kit. I have modified this kit in various ways to get an early 50s look for the car. I have done modifications such as: splitting the wishbones, lakester headers, custom scoop air filters, removing the exhaust moulded into the chassis, shortened light bar and making the gear leaver into a column shift.
    Hope you all like it.

I did that once bringing one in to work to show off. Luckily no major damage but my pride, from doing the parking lot tango trying to catch it before it ate the pavement!

  26. @41 coupe I like the grill, it's different. I like what you did with the front fenders too.

I scored at a swap meet today. I picked up an old Barry Setzer Vega funny car, an old Jag Xke kit, and an AMT 3 in 1 Mercury. The Vega with driven by Pat Foster, Cole Foster's father, and the kit is ULTRA DETAILED! Included is a pic of the real car doing a smokey burnout. ENJOY!
