Thanks to everyone for giving us all that chance to see some past memories. We haven't been to the Nat's in Louisville in a number of years but still retain fond thoughts of our twelve straight driven Nat's in the era when they moved to a different city each year. While the gatherings were great, it was always about the road trip that made it the most unique.

Lots of upsides on driving to events such as the Nats but you can't beat the air conditioned exhibit halls at Louisville. The change to 49 and up has never bothered me one bit. If I had to make a guess the 49 and up cars may exceed the 48 and down street rods at the 2018 NSRA Nats. Who doesn't like to look at 50's and 60's cars?

Wush I agree with you we always enjoyed traveling to a different destination each year we have been to all of the nationals since 1977 always thought St.Paul Minnesota had the best fair grounds hope to get back up there to back to the fifties .

After watching cars roll in a few mornings I would agree with you on the breakdown, only the NSRA has the info with registration records for this year.

I really like Stogy's post. No it won't pass the 23 point safety inspection but I appreciate the craftmanship and historic value. I like car, and I thank 40ragtopdown for posting all the photos.
