On my ‘35 the dash went behind the window flange and over the body.

My '36 dash mounts BEHIND (inside the cab) the window flange. The (6) screws go through the window flange holes and screw into the captured nuts on the inside of the dashboard lip, per the picture below:

How is this possible? It is either behind, or it goes over the body flange and is in front of it. It can't be in two places at once.

Very confusing, I first mounted mine this way as the dash has threaded holes for the six Allen head bolts, after installing the interior windshield trim it didn't quite line up with the dash that's why I asked the question , I tried removing the dash and tried to fit it over the body lip with no success, going back to the first install like yours.

Mine mounts on the inside of the cab like the pic TagMan posted.
