Is this a real show?

Anyone caught this show or has it yet to be on TV?
Barris Kustom Kar challenge.

 

good god......i hope not.

 

Can't be real, didn't see any body getting dirty.

 

Yeah. Those girls didn't look very... garage-y, either.

 

Looks like someone put it together using old film clips. Also the words don't match the words your hearing.

 

The sound sucks. It's about half a minute late in that clip.
I hope the person who uploaded this film corrects this fast.

 

Bad idea, another useless show?

 

It says "Presentation Reel" at the start, lets just hope its a pilot that dies off before they produce it....

The best part of that whole video was the quick snapshot of Barris when he looked like Ron Jeremy in the late 70's /early 80's.

 

I'd guess it's already too late to save that riviera from being fucked up.

my favorite line was "well, I don't do this for a living, but I just repainted my buick and it turned out great, so this will be no problem." Uh.....yeah....

and the brunette...i think....with the sound off, could have been either chick..."I've got a '57 chevy and my brother and dad work on cars" oh, ok, in that case, PLEASE by all means start welding on this car.

 

heh, will all due respect to Barris, but he looks like he's pimpin' with all those chicks around him w/ his Gold jacket.

 

really? I will bring my own chicken wire and paper mache' if I can be on it...

 

Why you think all those chicks are hanging around. He's Rons older brother and probably pioneered Rons Kustom look for him.


Words not matching the mouth? I think that is standard on Youtube. I have never seen the sound match up on any video I've watched on there. It is usually sooner than the video.

There is also a 2 part video on that car called the Shark that was built and shown at the Detroit Autorama. You will have to run a search on that one cause I could'nt bring myself to post it.

 

I like how Barris mentions the cars he did. Namely, the Green Hornet. He may OWN one of the cars from that show, but Gene Winfield built it. Please, give credit where credit is due!

 

curiosity killed the cat. well i looked at his web site and there was no mention of a new tv show just a dvd coming soon.

 

I'll check with Mark, one of the "in house kustomizers" if you guys are really interested.

Seems I remember him talking about this a year or two ago.
