    Hello all,

A number of years ago my great grandpa found this stamp underneath the seat of a Ford Model AA flatbed that we still own. My dad has kept it in his toolbox for years and we've never been sure as to what it was exactly.

Given that the logo isn't mirrored, it makes me think this was used as an embossing tool or for setting a pattern to be casted. Any ideas?

Sent them a message, I'll update here if I receive a response. Has anyone seen a stamp like this before?

Maybe it was used to emboss thin material when stamped from the rear. Like if you had an aluminum tag and stamped it from behind with a rubber cushion in front. Give it a try.

I think every time you use it you have to pay a royalty to the Ford Motor Company.. Just kidding....

Very possible, I'll have to give it a try at work tomorrow. The Ford logo is only about 3/8" or so wide, so an ID tag of some sort would make sense
