We prolly oughtta get a HAMB gathering to converge on the Galaxy Drive-In in Ennis.

  2. Dang, that's all impressive. Very cool that a hot rod guy got to do a movie on the subject. I'll have to own that movie & put it in rotation with On Any Sunday & Endless Summer for sure. And regardless of age, Bonnie Hunt is hot.:)

Very cool............thanks for posting the "podcast".........Just a sneaky question, did you put the words "HAMB" (or sneak) into the movie in the background of anything? I could see that happening.

Love the pics & the podcast videos.

I can't wait to see this at the theatres...even if my kids don't want to go.

The wife brought home a box of apple jacks cereal, which I thought was weird until I saw the Cars promo on the back and toy inside. I ripped right
into it and dug through it hoping for a "doc hudson". Ending up with the
sherrifs merc:(. Pulled it backward on the kitchen floor and let it rip. Dog
made a beeline for it and crunched it pretty good before I could get it out
of her mouth. Wife, meanwhile is laughing hysterically at her 46 yo husband
on the floor with a toy from a box of cereal... Thinking now I was set up.

    Some kids never grow up.

BTW movie premiers at the Charlotte Nascar race later this month,
multi 50' tall DLP:confused: screens setup in turn two. Disneys biggest premier
    EVER.:D

    I think all you US-guys have probably seen all the Previews and teasers about the film, but for those who haven't, take a peek at Apple.com's MovieTrailer-page, or head straight to the CARS-Preview-page;

OK, Maybe I'm easily entertained, But...

Did anyone else catch all the cool stuff in the pic that Ryan chose for the "Cars" comentary???

Check out the air filter cafe and the pistons and rods holding up the valve cover awnings! With spark Plugs!

Way cool! The art guys didn't miss a trick. If the story writers are half as good, this will be a huge hit!

    Cudos!

THE ENTIRE movie is like that. back in January i went to see the Pixar exhibit in NYC and alot of the storyboard artwork was there. everthing in the movie, in some form or another, has vehicle themes everywhere. the roadside motels are like giant roadcones. i really cant wait to see this. im heavily involved in 3d modeling, animating and cars! so this movie is a perfect match for me hehehe.

Here's where it goes into uber-geek mode, that I will only share with my HAMB brethern...

    1. We made the spark plugs on the roof of Flo's light up in the same sequence of a flathead v-8 firing order

    2. Cloud trails in the sky are tire tread patterns

    3. We used 59 Caddy and 54 Ford tailight lenses for background flowers

    4. The front of the courthouse is a giant Moto-Minder radiator cap

Thats all your getting for now-- You guys will find the rest!! :D

My boy, who will be three this summer, already got a "Cars" cap, today. Momma bought it for him, and he wanted to wear it to bed.

His favorite character already is "Mater", the tow-truck, who he calls "Dad-Gum!". We found some trading cards in a magazine with all the characters. He also likes "Impala", which is really "Ramon" the lowrider. And he saw the one with the Petty Superbird, and named it "Joe Dirt's Car". LMAO.

This is definitely the coolest Pixar flick, yet. I'm geekin' out big time on the detail scoops.

Is this where we hot rodders start becoming the equivalent of the "Dungeons and Dragons" geeks? I better go hit my inhaler, and work on my Monster Manual.
