A boner,...thanks for startin this thread,...I've been planning on starting one but never got around to it...gettin lots of calls from guys who have never been to our show, so it looks like it keeps growing every year. (swapmeet vendors, please try to bring mostly 60's and older vintage parts) this year there will be cash drawings @ 11.00AM ,,,2 draws for $50 each,...@1:00PM ...2 draws for $100 each,...and @ 3:00 PM ...2 draws for $200 each,...all car entries and swapmeet vendors are eligible, just sign the cash slip you're handed at the gate and deposit it in the cash drawing bucket inside the blue building at our club corner. Dirty Fishnet Stockings rockabilly band will be playing... this 41 Stude gasser,(presently un-restored) the former Colson/Woods car, which ran in the 60's, will be the feature car and Ron Colson will be with the car to answer questions, etc....Ron drove gassers, rails and funny cars, the most famous being the Chi-Town Hustler... ...hope to see a bunch of you guys there.
...weather rite now says 80*,..partly sunny/partly cloudy,...chance of a shower late in the day,...we checked in about 30 swap vendors today...
...ok,...what a day,...lots of rain Friday nite and it continued raining about half of Sat morning, but not too hard,...finally cleared off and by mid afternoon the whole show looked pretty normal...the grounds were in great shape, no water sitting or muddy areas. The swapmeet vendors just kept rolling in all morning in the rain, ...most of the hot rods waited til early afternoon to show up ,,..lot's of parts were selling and lots more spectators this year. Thanks to everyone who attended the 12th Scrap Drive show, much appreciated. here's a few pics ...
