Technical Single 94 banger jet help.

    Hey guys, I'm fairly new to these Henry 4 bangers. I just picked up an ansen intake and reds duel outlet header for my coupe. I have a Holley 94 off an EAB flathead. The engine is stock and has stock ignition. On initial start up it will only start with the choke closed and it idles high. I am running an airtex E8902 fuel pump. Any help is much appreciated in getting this carb set up correctly to run.

    I ran the same header, intake and carb on my banger with a high compression head and a Mallory with no problems. How much fuel pressure, 94's only need about 2 psi, I had an inline pressure regulator. A 94 is a little big for a stock banger but shouldn't cause a problem, might run a little rich.

    I have the same fuel pump and I run a regular set at 2 psi. No problems.

    vacuum leak maybe?

    The EAB carb has a vacuum port on the back side; make sure that it's plugged. As noted by others, it should run fine with stock jetting and power valve.

    Thanks guys, the vacuum port is plugged. The carb has been setting a bit and I notice I'm not getting fuel when I hit the accelerator. I'll rebuild the carb and see how it goes.
