Technical Anybody put a C6 in a 59 Edsel?

We have a customer asking for a tranny swap in her 59 Edsel.
What swaps and what mods are needed?

 

what engine does it have? If it's the FE engine, it's easier than if it's a y block or six.

The 59 Edsel is a lot like a 59 Ford Galaxy. I expect if you search, you can find something.

410 EML E400. (may be a 361 FE motor, not sure if the info Im getting is correct. wish I had the car actually here)
Anybody out there done one?

 

That should have the same bolt pattern as an FE for the same year.
