So we know hotrodders chop the upper windshield stanchions and windshield to get away from the stock look.....any thoughts on why someone would have gone through the trouble of chopping the original lower windshield stanchions on a 1932 Ford roadster? Attached are two examples. Both come from CA. Haven’t seen any pics of this being done back in the day? Low profile look when removing the windshield to run at the dry lakes? Was it for a special windshield frame? Welcome any input or old photos. Thanks.
Sorry I don’t have any answers but I seen that pair for sale and thought to myself that’s a lot more work for a lot less chop than just chopping the uppers. I’m curious too, anyone?
KARL.. I would have bet you knew the answer to that..When its all bolted togather with the W/S frame and you want to lean your glass more...without the alteration ,,bottom of w/s frame dont line up properly..
