Hot Rods Welcome a new hotrod to the world, chopped coupe,Y Block, 4spd, black

Exactly 4 years ago tomorrow I bought a stock 1930 Model A coupe with a plan for it to become a killer hotrod, today I "lot" drove it for the first time. It should leave the Barillaro Speed shop in a week or so as a finished car. I wanted to be sure as many people as possible see the great work the Barillaro bros turn out so I am posting pictures of the almost finished car on this thread, in case they were not following the original build thread "The Y Brock Coupe". The Barillaro brothers have a two man shop in Knoxville Tn., Their chassis work and metal shaping is top shelf! The only part of this build they did not do was the engine machining and the upholstery. 292 1961 Ford Y Block, top loader 4 spd, 9" traction lock with 350 gears

Let me know how those back tires stick!! ...wellll...er no, I already know!...they will break loose with just moderate throttle in 2nd...be careful on your first 100 miles dude.. Big torque motors, at low rpms even, with those skinny bias are a shitload of fun..Rain?..keep it in your "third" gear in case it tries to come around! Just lightly lift, and it will recover.. I ran mine in snow when a snow-squall blew in one day when I was far from home!

hey, I had mine out ALL day doing errands..ran into a 60 year old guy who has had a 32 like mine since he was 18! Off the road for decades.. I begged him to get it going, and get it out every day ( and the last two nights) like I am, before he gets any older...352 FE power in his!

Great looking coupe with the y block. Thought you might enjoy two angry "A's" from Bobby hilton's shop. 312 in the black coupe and my buddy's green coupe with the nailhead. We drove them hard this year at the lone star round up in Austin Texas. Just ask the crowd at Austin speed shop when we left party Friday night. Best damn show around

F&J, Im hearing you about the bias plies, I've been driving on them in my low torque motor coupe for years and they can be scary in the rain, this new coupe is probably gonna be scary in the dry!

This has been a great project and really proud to see the fruits of our labor coming to completion. Thanks Gary for letting us build such a great hot rod and anyone on here that knows Gary (garage2small) he will drive the shit out it and use it like it was intended.
