Hot Rods Tri Five Wagon Lowering .... How did you do it? Post a pic and info.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by RoadFarmer, Apr 3, 2018.

  1. I've getting a '55 Chevy 2 Door Handyman soon and I'd like to give it a really low stance without going through the trouble and expense of bags. I'm curious what you other guys have done. Thanks for the help! I look forward to seeing everyone else's wagons!

  4. That looks killer, any other pics? Any issues with being that low?

No issues besides the occasional scrape on sped bumps and drive ways. Jaybird2.jpg Been running it like this for 20+ years.

Posie dropped rear springs, plus 1" blocks and lowering coils only, in the front. Still debating with myself on dropped spindles or not. Leaning towards leaving it for now. DSC02926.JPG

The only thing I did to my 57 wagon is 165-80x15 front tires. It sits extremely low

Don't currently have a better pic but this is our wagon w 2" lowering coils with a full coil cut out and 15' 205 70's. Not low enough for my taste but it rides ok. Posies super sliders and flipped spring shackles & air shocks out back. Rides good but beats the rear bumpstops up in a couple years.

Paul, I'd describe your car's stance as "pissed off" and trust me, that's a compliment.

Loving the new stance. Spindles and coils up front, 3” blocks out back.
