  10. Sorry, brain overload. Can't remember. Restorable ragtops are scarce. The Vette was 32K. Big blue Lincoln was well under 10. So was the '57.

Yes it is. A friend of mine owned it. He meet his wife after He got it. Took his honeymoon in it and taught his oldest daughter to drive it. He passed on last year. Now the family wants me to get it back on the road for them. What a honor.

    Hey Guys,

I know coffee is big everywhere, but it does have some medicinal value. We So Cal coffee drinkers like the aspect of Cars and Coffee. But, those giant filters must be for the Jolly Green Giant's morning coffee. Good eye, DP...

Hot rods and coffee seems to be a natural. Just look at the Donut Derelicts event every Saturday for approximately, the last 32 years. It is by far, the best in the west. Luckily, it is easily accessible via the simple freeway system in So Cal. This whole area is a relatively flat ground, an old time, alluvial plain. It is so flat that it is still a designated danger for the "100 year flood" that is supposed to happen one day.

Our history goes back a little farther as the ocean/good surf at the "river jetties" is only 2 miles West from the Donut Derelicts site. But, my wife used to live in an apartment just off of Adams and Bushard, a couple of blocks away in the early college years. Wow, that was a long time ago.

This is about two miles away near Brookhurst and PCH in 1966

Of course, back then it was: Hit the early morning small restaurants and bakeries for great coffee. Coffee at the campus vending machines, coffee in the afternoon study sessions, then late at night, the family restaurants for more coffee... We must have been caffeine addicted college kids or something... No Donuts and Derelicts and certainly no Starbucks on every corner.

Speaking of coffee, wouldn't we all like to know how much Starbuck's is losing for the closure on May 29th of all Starbucks across the USA?

"All Starbucks company-owned retail stores and corporate offices will be closed in the afternoon of Tuesday, May 29. During that time, partners will go through a training program designed to address implicit bias, promote conscious inclusion, prevent discrimination and ensure everyone inside a Starbucks store feels safe and welcome."

OK? I was only running with the title of this thread and put a little Rorschach humor when referencing coffee filters. But this possibly may be a side affect of 4 20? It reads a little like, "Butterfly do get butterflies in their stomach when they fall in love with another butterfly?"[IMG]

Who says you can't find gold in the desert ! This is in a building behind a house in Arizona. Be sure that you study the pictures well and enjoy the décor. 20180416_123359.jpg
