  2. I had the privilege of dragging this really neat little pickup that belonged to Luke from Johns Rod & Custom, unfortunately it didn’t end well, I ended up blowing the 39 box up on the third run, this pickup flyed, sorry again Luke about the box, this was an absolute great weekend thanks to Luke and Dean and the MOONEYES team.

FB, your R pickup will look good in a green like that roadster.
Gary D,Lake Gairdner is a magical place. I still remember vividly the first time I caught a glimpse of the lake in '90.
    Thankyou for the great images.

That's what a 'hired shoe' can do.
    Came across another old cover.

Found this great shot of Tom Branch's roadster and knew it would work well on a cover.

I love this 3W. Although I think it is now painted black with painted steelies.

Here's another cover featuring the late Jim Ewing's Superbell Coupe. A 3W I really like.

A slightly different approach with this cover and the last, using scenic shots as the background for the hot rod featured on the cover. This is something I may do more of.

  17. Say @whodaky , out of all the covers you’ve done is there one that stands out?

Here's another using my 'scenery' concept.
This time I was able to have my 3W beside my 5W in an outback setting. A place that my 5W experienced many time, but my 3W probably never will.

Chryslerfan55, I don't know that I have a favorite. But this one is the most memorable for me for a few reasons.

Spencer T and Old Purple haven't featured on a cover in a while, so here we go.

Geoff, heres a photo of Garry's coupe that you may be able to use. The cover above reminded me of it.

FullSizeRender.jpg Hi Geoff, I haven't commented in a while. I've been a bit busy with shift work and such. So I thought I'd let you know I'm still here enjoying the thread. I'm a big fan of the "scenery" covers. Corey's Roadster heading down that hill is everything I see when I close my eyes and dream of a hotrod road trip.

Here is a photo of My son Ace helping me in the shed last weekend.

Hey Wardog, I am glad you are still enjoying this stuff. Obviously I still enjoy doing them, I have done well nearly 1100 now.
Yeah the scenic ones are working for me also. Adds a totally different dynamic to a cover and also to the hot rod image I may use.
As you know from what I have done in the past I like to try new things and make use of interesting images I come across.
Of course the image you posted had to be used.
It's good to know the The North East Hot Rod Company is still wrenching on hot rods.
But in that image, is Ace sneering? Come on dad lets ditch this banger and slot a real flathead in the coupe. I can also hear all the older Crankster guys in the background saying yeah dad listen to your boy.

Yeah your right yblock32, it does have a similar feel.
I in fact used that image a long time ago.
