Hot Rods I drove the 5 window to work today

I believe I need to do some additional work on the carburetor or timing,the car tends to sputter a little when accelerating. HRP

Wonder if you could build an adapter plate and run an aluminum powerglide behind it?

Old friend of mine always says a powerglide robs less power from the engine than most any other transmission. So that might be an option.

My 66 C10 had a 3 speed column shift and it wasn’t synchronized either. It was a pain in the ass to drive. We switched it for a turbo 350 and it made a different truck out of it.

That’s the only reason I mention it.

Now this has been brought back up,the weatherman says we are going to be in the low 70's tomorrow so I plan on putting some more mile on the coupe. HRP
