I was able to locate a set of hubcaps for the artillery wheels. Search everywhere for months and finally found them.

Mike, I just finished viewing all pics, and Joe they are pics of some first class work! Not PC savvy enough to tell you what you have outta kilter Mike, but my old clunky one sees them fine.
Joe, I do have one concern however, and it may or may not be pertinent to your build.
My 31"A" Hiboy was purchased as a mocked up rolling Chassis from Brookville Roadster with a P&J '32 frame and front and rear suspension by a previous owner and never completed when I bought it.
The rear radius rod "hairpins" on mine are what Speedway labels as "Curtis style" and 36" in length. They are now labeled in red in the catalog as "not for use on rear".
But I got mine on the road before this was inserted into the catalog, or at least I didn't see it before I got it running.
The very first day I got a bit "enthusiastic" and bent one of these "Curtis style" rods. Car all built, everything painted, etc. So I bought another set and welded in a 1/8" plate with lightening holes full length in them. No problem now.

I see cast/forged front fender braces, do you need cast coupe rears? ...
I took them off a '30 coupe...

Bob, this will be a fenderless car. We thought we would try something different with the light bar so we decided to use 28-29 braces with 31 light bar.

Again, love the detail. How long is this build this far? Or how many hours poured into it? It’s gonna be killer for sure.

 

About 4 months now off and on . Last 2 weeks we have been putting in a lot more time.

 

Getting the engine mocked up. Making sure we have enough clearance for the mechanical fan I want to use. Chris has a killer idea for the motor mounts he wants to make. Stay tuned

Are these brake shoes on wrong?

 

There is something wrong with your motor!! It looks like a Chevy!! Was hoping to see a flathead in there....damn.

 

You thinkin' what I'm thinkin? - That automotive brake shoes consist of a primary and secondary shoe. The primary brake shoe is the front shoe and normally has a slightly shorter lining than the secondary shoe. The secondary shoe is the rear shoe and has the largest lining surface area.
