Posting for a friend... He can't seem to identify this piece of trim script... Can anyone identify it?

He was looking for one for an early 50's Chevy Deluxe and ended up with this one. But this one doesn't have the same similarities as a Chevy? Can't seem to figure out what it's for!
    Thanks in advance!

This is the script trim we are trying to identify...

Might be off a refrigerator or something....cars are not the only thing that was DeLuxe back then!

Or maybe on a radio with cloth over the speaker.?

That gives me a chuckle as there was a Hotrod late fifties early 60s that was posted with some scroll work on the grille and it was the same as the trim on a Hambers screen door and he had pics to prove it...:D

That said if that script was of say a fridge find another and us it it is near the same size and nearly the same as the original...

Thanks for all the help guys! I Never thought of it not being from a home appliance and not an automobile! Or possibly being from a vehicle accessory like a radio!

I think every car manufacturer in the early 50's had a Deluxe model.
There were so many Deluxe's they became common.

  14. Plymouth used the upper case E in their script, but i think the font was different.
most Deluxe emblems used a lower case e.
could be from a fridge, or boat, or guitar amp (fender deluxe reverb) or......

At 34 bucks for the repops that one is not really worth the exhaustive search and I have looked at well over 300 items. Hambers don't like being stumped but it happens and we'll leave it open.

We did have better luck with the Grille Scroll as you can see...:D...Best to just stick it on the garage wall for some Deluxe Ambience. Hope he/she didn't pay a lot for it.

The bottom emblem you show is on the front fender while the Scripted emblem is on the quarter...
52 ran that scripted emblem on the quarter...prior to that your bottom pic.

  16. Not "Deluxe" but I have a pair of "Winner" scripts that I found in a junkyard that came off of a boat, just never know where displaced scripts come from. 20180321_104408.jpg

    I like the Winner emblems!

Here's a pic of my computer monitor, taken just now, note the emblem at the bottom.
