I’m gathering info on going back in time a little. I’m gathering parts for my 32 five window rebuild. I’m looking for pics of Olds motors in 30’s era cars for my project. Thanks for your help. Hopefully going pull the trigger soon and turn this patina laden car into a full sheet metal laden finished car. Later I hope I can grace the pages here with a build thread. So far I have 2 324 engines (10 heads) two 3 2bbl carb manifolds, one 2 4bbl manifold, set of block hugger exhaust manifolds.
Last time I took a photo of what I thought at the time was an Olds Rocket engine had Chevy sbc exhaust on it when I got home and studied the photos. There are several real deal ones around though and I think there was one in the video of the Florida Billetproof at Don Garlit's museum. Not sure if that was an A o a 32 though.
You might try Caddilac Powered cars too. There is a fellow on You Tube who has a series of videos about a 331 Caddilac in a Early Ford. I do believe it was a 27 Roadster on a A. Come to think about it it may have been a 29 on a 32...Any how if you search 331 Caddilac Hot Rod on You Tube it should pop up. I was watching it for how the engine was mounted. The 331 fits almost as good or better than a flathead. I may be wrong but I do believe the Rocket and the Caddilac are very similar.
Pick up any hot rod type magazine from the fifties through early sixties and there will be plenty of Olds powered cars to look at. Are you looking for something specific?
