    ‘64 galaxie
‘65 falcon. From what I’ve found, production numbers were less than 5,000

Nice write up. Plymouth actually made their 2 door wagon starting in '49...the Suburban.

Actually I found out after Chevy stopped the Nomad name used on the higher priced Wagons from 55 to 61, the Nomad and Custom Nomad name came back in 68 and not 69 as I originally thought. The name was now used on 2 of the lower priced Chevelle models 13235 and 13435. Being more of a trim option package, they continued the Nomad name on some of their lower priced 6 passanger Chevelle Wagon models until 1972 (reference documentation -Sixty Years of Chevrolet by George Dammann). I am not sure what type of emblems these Chevelle Nomads had. When I was trying to locate Chrome emblems for a Custom 2 door conversion Wagon I am building I could only locate a few badly damaged ones but did locate a pair of reproductions I will use and are said to be for the 1961 Nomad.
I also found that 2door Wagons are great donor vehicles for an ElCamino type build.

A friend of mine has the seldom seen 57 Chevy windowed sedan delivery with the one piece lift gate in the rear. Outside appearance looks to be a 2 dr Wagon , no rear seat.

The first wagon I thought was cool, was my Dad got a brand new 55 Nomad V8 red n white. The thing looked great WOW,but v8 SBC 265 leaked oil all over the place an smoked some too,he took it back too dealer a lot of times ,to try an stop the oil crap. After about 7 months, dealer did put a new motor in it,turned out it was 283 an that ran right ,near as good as Grandads 55 Ford then. I guess thats what started me an wagons ! I've own 18 wagons now, among many other cars, but the wagons were always used as tow cars, for my racetrailer. An my dayly aswell.

Interesting that they are similar numbers to the ‘32 five window and 3 window coupes.
Yet I am sure that not as many 1954 2 door wagons left in the world.

    Great thread.
    Thanks
