Projects Need some help blending different colored fenders into old patina....

    if you have access to a brake/benders do your best to replace the stock set up and rust proof it.way to go imho.

    Oh yea I hear ya, I had to reread. I’m looking at a few I’m deciding on buying, English wheel, stretcher shrinker bead roller to make my own steel for situations like this

    A brake and some shirker stretcher.
    Then some cutting and welding equipment you should be able to knock out most of that car. ;)

    Jim, go for it! Your car will look like a resurrected beater that's been brought back from the dead and what's wrong with that. Make it safe and have fun with it. There is beauty and an art to replicating the effects of age. The Japanese term for it is wabi-sabi, Disney has painters on staff to faux finish their parks to look worn or weathered where needed. Most people have seen good patinaed work and never knew it.

    RustyL...The name on your truck I think is Johansen....I was a concrete guy for 20 years with my old man. He had a yard in Evanston. There was a neighbor concrete contractor by the name of Johansen and he had a truck similar yours with same colors. He retired but his son still runs the business. Thought you might be him. Still might be his truck.
