    heres a little '48 business coupe I picked up a couple years ago. I think these cars are so cool with the little forward bubble roof line and long deck lid. it looks like its moving when its standing still. its still all original and has the little 6 cyl. in it with a three spd. new king pins and tie rod ends and idler this spring ! heres a few pictures when I got it s-l160044.jpg s-l160099.jpg s-l160000.jpg

    heres the interior, I made new door cards and bought some factory looking door leather, I haven't done the seat yet, but I painted the dash and garnish mldgs to a factory bronze color. i'll put the before picture in. I installed the factory radio too. ive got the factory rubber floor mat but haven't installed it yet. I hope you guys like these little coupes. s-l160000.jpg IMG_1099.JPG IMG_1104.JPG IMG_1096.JPG IMG_1098.JPG

    I really want one of these era Studes to build a custom out of, I think I'd prefer a Commander with the longer wheelbase, but I do want one eventually.

  10. Very cool....I have a buddy who has one in gray. A 48 bidness coupe just like yours. He bought it from some homeless guy, down on his luck who was living in it. I've been trying to get it away from him for many years but he won't budge. Better top than a starlight coupe IMHO.

    Sweet little ride there.
    A friend of mine has a couple of Starlite coupe hulks that I have been eyeballing to do a gasser with but so far he hasn't budged on them. I don't have the space right now anyhow.

    my grandpa had one of these he drove to the quarry so he wouldn't get his nicer car's paint ruined by all the debris.

    I like those better than the bullet nosed ones. I know where there is a two door sedan, may be a hardtop, it looks a lot like a 53-54 Ford from the side. Guy has it for sale, killer thing though is it has plexiglas for the windshield and back glass and no interior other than door panels. I think it had a SBC in it at one time.

    I'd never seen one before now. Love it. You could almost pass off the trunk as the hood it's that big.The rear end and trunk style are similar to that era Mopars, so lllllllooooonnnnngggg. Love that garage, awfully crowded in there!

    When I was a child, our neighbor (a little old lady) across the street had a maroon one. I've never forgotten that car!

    I love the looks just the way it is. Just needs a supercharged Avanti V-8 under the hood, would make a great sleeper keeping up with traffic on the open road!

    Owned 2 Studie's . A 48 coupe with back seat and a 52 with the back seat. Rear seat armrests flipped up and you had 2 built in beer coolers. Great, solid car's.

    Clik;
    No, not a 2dr sedan. That CL one's the Starlight Coupe. Back window was suppose to simulate a bomber gun turret. Very neat effect from inside the car. :D .
