Thanks Stepchild. Wish I had something to share, but nobody wants to look at brake lines. Once I get all the stuff back from the machine/balance shop, there's gonna be some action.

FINALLY!!! some damn progress on this heap.

    Pile of Pontiac innards.

In the parkinglot on a Saturday night, I will call this a 389, but it actually displaces 462 inches.

    Should be right at 10.4:1

Everything fits, rocker geometry is on the money.

Still have some buttoning up to do, but this is the basic idea.

If I can figure out the hydraulic clutch, this thing will be sitting in the car next week.

    See ya, -Abone.

Odd you would chose a Pontiac when there are so many small block Chevys available. :)

    See ya in warmer weather.

Yeah, most 40 Fords left Deerborn with small block Chevys somehow.

  22. I'm surprised you didn't have to cut a relief in the inner wheel wells. What size tire are you running?

  23. Jeff, looks great!

Are those SW gauges new or restored old ones? I've heard bad things about the new SW gauges.

First trip around the block. Holy shit this thing is fast. I have been use to the pussy ass Chevvie motor in my 34...this heap will lay rubber on command at any speed. I like it a bunch.

I am moving this month so no new progress for a while. Next time you see it, it will be a color and pretty much done.

    See ya, -Abone.

Not to hijack your post but....saw your post from 2008 and would like to know that tire brand on the rear of the Model A. I have '31 coupe same config as your tudor but have pie crust slicks on 15 in rims. Its too wet around here to make them practical. I was researching quick change RR's when I ran across your old post. Thanks in advance.
